Who is the controller of your personal data?
The controller of your personal data, meaning the entity that determines how your personal data will be used, is ZOO Wrocław Sp. z o.o., located in Wrocław at ul. Wróblewskiego 1-5, 51-618 Wrocław (hereinafter "ZOO Wrocław Sp. z o.o.").

How can you contact us to obtain more information about the processing of your personal data?
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) within the company. For matters regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact us at the email address: iod@zoo.wroc.pl.

What is the purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data by ZOO Wrocław?
We process your personal data because it is necessary for:

  • The performance of contracts entered into with you for the sale of tickets, vouchers, and annual passes to ZOO Wrocław;
  • Sending information related to the activities of ZOO Wrocław and our agreement with you;
  • Contacting you, including for services related to the operation of ZOO Wrocław;
  • Handling ticket returns or complaints submitted by you to ZOO Wrocław;
  • Providing payment processing services.

Additionally, the law requires us to process your personal data for tax and accounting purposes.

We also process your personal data based on ZOO Wrocław’s legitimate interests, which include:

  • Contacting you, including for allowed marketing purposes, through available communication channels, subject to your consent – via email and phone;
  • Debt collection; conducting legal, arbitration, and mediation proceedings;
  • Storing data for archiving purposes and ensuring accountability (demonstrating compliance with legal obligations).

We also process your personal data, if you give your consent, for the purpose of:

  • Sending marketing, promotional, and other related information (e.g., informing you by email about contests, new arrivals, special events you may participate in);
  • Storing data in cookies.

You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time in the same manner it was provided. We will continue to process your personal data until you withdraw your consent.

Is providing your personal data necessary?
For the performance of the contract for the sale of tickets to ZOO Wrocław and vouchers in the electronic system, we require the following personal data: name and surname, and email address. To issue an invoice, we also require information about the company name, its address, the representative’s name, and the NIP number.

For the sale of annual passes to ZOO Wrocław, we require the following personal data: name and surname, date of birth, and image.

If for any reason you do not provide this personal data, we will not be able to enter into a contract with you, and as a result, you will not be able to use the services provided by ZOO Wrocław.

If required by law, we may also ask for additional data, for example, for accounting or tax purposes. Apart from these cases, providing your data is voluntary.

Who do we share your personal data with?
Your personal data is shared with entities providing IT services to ZOO Wrocław and with banks to enable payment for services. In situations where required and based on appropriate regulations, we may disclose your personal data to public authorities.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
We guarantee that we will fulfill all your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access, correct, delete data, restrict its processing, the right to data portability, not to be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, and the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

You can exercise these rights when:

  • The data is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected;
  • You withdraw your consent to data processing or object to the processing of your data;
  • Your data was processed unlawfully;
  • Your data should be deleted to comply with a legal obligation.

In the case of requesting data restriction, this applies when:

  • Your data is inaccurate – you can request data processing to be limited while we verify the accuracy of the data;
  • Your data has been processed unlawfully, but you do not wish to delete it;
  • Your data is no longer needed, but you may need it for defense or pursuing claims;
  • You object to processing, and we are investigating whether our legal grounds override your objection.

For data transfer requests, processing is based on consent or a contract and must be done automatically.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority for the processing of your personal data by ZOO Wrocław (address: Office for Personal Data Protection, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).

In what situations can you object to the processing of your personal data?
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data when:

  • The processing is based on our legitimate interests, and your objection is based on a specific situation you are in.
  • Your data is processed for direct marketing purposes.

How long do we retain your personal data?
We retain your personal data for the duration of the contract with you and after its termination for purposes such as:

  • Claim enforcement in connection with the performance of the contract;
  • Fulfilling legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements;
  • Archiving purposes.

We retain your personal data for marketing purposes for the duration of the contract or until you object to such processing, whichever occurs first.

For accountability, we retain your data to demonstrate compliance with data processing laws for the period required by law.

Do we transfer your data outside the European Economic Area?
Your personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.
